The firefighter used his free will to stay separated from God his entire life, so why would God force him into a place that is literally His direct presence? The true answer here is that the man who abused children would be the one to get in. This sounds wrong to us, but it is very easy to explain through Christian theology. God tells us that His mercy is greater than any human sin, and Jesus’s death on the cross was powerful enough to pay for any sin, no matter how horrible. If this abuser switches his life around and genuinely turns to God, the person entering heaven is no longer the abuser. His old, evil spirit is dead. The person entering heaven is a completely remade soul who chose to surrender to God.

The problem isn’t exactly about not believing. It’s about not following up to be a good person. That’s how this faith has started. Jesus teaches us on what “the right thing” is. You shouldn’t look at faith as only following its “rules” because you want to deserve heaven instead you should see it as a guide to become a better person and earn a reward like heaven, you don’t deserve it, no one deserves heaven.

Hi, that’s not how it works at all. I understand your point, and I’d like to respectfully explain why it’s wrong. God wouldn’t send an abuser to heaven simply because he/she turned to god. For someone to go to heaven they have to actually feel deep guilt and regret for their actions, confess and acknowledge their errors. (Let’s be real, most criminals are not going to do that.) Simply becoming christian isn’t going to save you from consequences of a murder you committed (for example). And a good person isn’t going to go to hell simply bc they don’t believe in God, that would be extremly odd and immoral and it’s a very common misunderstanding that spreads like crazy on social media. In Christian belief God is all loving and all knowing, he’s not going to condemn a heroic firefighter to hell simply because this firefighter didn’t find his way to the religion. (Coming from an atheist who studies christianity frequently)

Ngl as a believer in God (not really religious tho) you’re not going to tell me a good person is gonna suffer for eternity for not believing but a horrible human being who “believes” isn’t. That doesn’t even make sense. Idk why ppl think reading the bible n going to church is a ticket to heaven and it’s not. The devil knew the bible too.. the firefighter would obviously go to heaven it’s just cruel if he doesn’t
