Digital Painter here. I tried it. It still doesn't feel right. By all means, ditch Adobe but this is like the equivalent of having your sock bunched up under your toe in your shoe the entire time.

also, a great free alternative to adobe illustrator is inkscape.

GIMP has always been decent for getting the job done, but for me it’s always felt clunky and kind of ugly. There’s normally a way to get what you want done, but it’s never felt as intuitive or polished as Photoshop. I’ll have to give this a try.

I started using adobe in 1998 and using it still.. Luckily I have never paid anythin and I never will... This is my first Adobe on my first Pentium MMX

Kinda cool. But it doesn't make it any closer to photoshop in functionality. I use Gimp all the time but I miss the ease of Photoshop in doing literally anything. I really wish there was a competitor to Adobe.
