Landed my dream Finance Manager position at age 25, this is my 2nd week. Fully remote, reporting directly to the CFO, more responsibilities, Now in the R480K - R720K salary range. Full autonomy over my department. My KPIs were clear and were extensively discussed in both my interviews and are on the contract and I am happy.

This is one thing that concerns me. I am comfortable in my job with all responsibilities, my manager, etc. but that money is not great. But if I find a better paying job, it might not come with all the small little things like having a good manager

Yep, I always keep saying the money is important but the TERMS of a contract are very important. Negotiate the terms first THEN sort out the salary.

I have a question so I applied for a job and it said junior right after that all went well and they offered me a position mind you during the interview I thought I was giving them a junior salary right I start work everything is well then I realised that the other guy who was my senior is leaving so he left now I am the only person working there and I am a senior at this point how do I go about asking for a payment increase it’s been 3 months now and the work load is more than my pay I need help on how I can approach this situation

I recently declined a job offer from a USA based company. They recruited me via LinkedIn. Their offer was 8k less than my current salary. The only benefit was to work from home, no benefits. It was a fixed term contract. I currently work for government with benefits.

Almost thought she's English until "Roma-tsewu" lol but yah nice perspective of negotiating. We just need to better learn how to articulate ourselves and share salary information amongst ourselves, still feel like that helps a lot. Cause majority of the time we shoot ourselves in the foot by not learning from the other and making it a competition than competing with the company itself

Question 🙋🏾♀️: Will the company not think I didn’t read the job description if I ask such question? I’m asking because I once stated those questions in the interview and they referred me back to the job description and my qualification. I just find it hard to keep up with these things (respectfully) because the job market nayo ayikuthetheleli as much
