@crmnallyobsessed: A bus driver was assaulted by a passenger after asking the man to throw away his drink. On August 1 in Washington, D.C., a bus driver picked up a passenger who was allegedly holding an alcoholic drink. The driver told him he would need to throw it away if he wanted to ride the bus. After a brief argument, the driver seemingly let the matter go and asked the man to stand behind the designated line. Instead, the man lunged past the barrier protecting the driver, splashed the drink in his face and repeatedly punched him. The driver managed to bring the bus to a stop as another passenger confronted the man and pushed him off the bus. Reports say the driver was treated for minor injuries. Police have not identified or arrested a suspect. Since the incident, transit union representatives have advocated for more protection for public transit workers. #WashingtonDC #Metrobus #PublicTransit #CrimeNews #CaughtOnCamera
