You can smell peanut butter and plus it's a tan sauce. The thief should have known she couldn't eat it as soon as got a whiff as the lid was opened. She should have been fired.

I enjoy spicy food. someone stole my lunch and said I made it so spicy a human wouldn't eat it. I informed them it was a level 7 from a Thai restaurant and it comes that spicy.

Just remember that your boss spreading rumors to create a hostile work environment is a reason that you can report them to OSHA (and additionally, you can quit your position and still receive unemployment if you leave a toxic work environment if you can prove that it was severe and fueled by/ not stopped by management)

Where is used to work, lunch theft was considered theft. They had a zero tolerance policy, and if you were caught stealing someone’s lunch, you were terminated. I wish more companies would take lunch theft more serious.

If someone steals your lunch (no borrowing can’t return) then not the AH. OP needs to go to HR and complain about a toxic work environment due to Boss spreading false accusations. Even if leaving the company this is not ok

I used to have a coworker that stole everyones drinks.. then I had a doctors note that I had to take heavy laxatives, since I wasn’t able to go for 3 weeks.. on the bottle with the laxatives stood in big black capital letters my name, do not touch, meditation.!!! She drank a liter of the stuff.. she never took anything from anyone again, got an official warning and for me nothing..

My dad as an immigrant in the early 80s kept getting his lunch which were burritos stolen. The place was very racist & treated him horribly & constantly used slurs at him. He ended up making a salsa so hot, he wouldn’t eat it which & he has a high tolerance as it is. He put a generous amount inside his burrito and left it waiting for the thief to strike. He kept his real lunch in his car. Sure enough later, the guy who was the most racist guy & was threatened by my dad’s work ethic started screaming. They called the ambulance thinking he was poisoned. The racist guy accused my dad of poisoning him with management. He pointed out that he shouldn’t have eaten a lunch that wasn’t his. He also used their racism against them by saying “As u know at Mexicans like spicy food, it was just too spicy for him. That’s why he shouldn’t have stolen my food”. My dad heard through work gossip that his mouth got burned bad but the 3 days of firehole was even worse. The guy ended up with what can only be described as IBS which was unknown then. After that no one messed with him. My dad passed in 2017 & I miss him so much.
