Similar to having people who are only terrible at home or specific environments. My step mom for example was fine when they were just dating, but we didn’t know her online arguing persona or how awful she was to live with.

This kid at work. When he was hired I wanted to voice my concerns but knew no one would listen to me. Turns out I was right about him and he ended up getting fired. I told another co worker this and he stated I should have said something but I knew I’d look like a hater if I did speak up. I hate it when I’m right! 🤣

Who my husband works for was opening a new restaurant and flew in/hired a new chef for the concept. New chef wanted to take out all the other chefs and their s/o’s. As soon as we got in the car I said “he’s not a good guy, he just pretends.” But everyone was loving the guy. Cut to now, even the owner dislikes him. We worked a huge event last week and by Saturday my husband finally said “you were right about chef, he really had us fooled”

For real tho. My husband and I have our close friend group that we have game nights with and DnD at least twice a month. We also get together outside of that to do other random things. We recently started a new campaign and one of the friends asked if his cousin could join the group. We all said yes and we’re all super excited. Our pattern for games and DnD is every other Saturday, we let her know and obviously if life comes up like it does we can always reschedule or whatever. So we have session zero and this is the first time we are all meeting her but it’s like she’s been part of the group since forever. We are all having a good time. Then she says “every DnD group I’ve ever been part of dissolves”. We’ve never had that issue so I thought it was odd, but didn’t say anything. She also said a few other weird things that I can’t remember but it felt odd. A few weeks go by, we add her to the group chat, and the next session is coming up. My husband and I host, so we double check with the group if this weekend works. Everyone but her answers. So we didn’t do dnd that weekend. Two weeks later, we send out another text, again no answer from her. We decided to just do a random game night. She texts us during the game night that she made other plans. Cool. Two weeks later, we check in and see if we are doing dnd. She made plans again. We reached out this past weekend to do a session. She has plans every weekend for the next few weeks. I turned to my husband so fast and was like “she’s the reason her dnd groups dissolve” 😑
