My aunt and uncle have a form of skeletal dysplasia, and since they've been born almost 50 years ago in the Balkans, no one really cared to do any testing. Their father has it so everyone was just like oh, they look like their father and that's about it. A diagnosis would've definitely made their life a bit easier but overall, they have a very normal life, my aunt has kids that did not get the gene, both of them have been working their whole adult life

ive commented on alot of your posts. im sooooo glad they are doing the genetic sequencing. With luck this will give you a more solid answer and at the least a guiding point. my daughter had some genetic testing and was diagnosed with a form of skeletal displaysia in 2012. No actual solid diagnosis at that point. we were able to get genetic sequencing done in 2022 which found her condition.. . . the genetic condition had only been disovered in 2016. so even if you dont get the full answers this time it doesnt mean science wont find it in years to come.

I'm so pleased that you finally have some answers and OMG she's so beautiful. I'm going for genetic testing on Wednesday as I was diagnosed with severe heart failure 10 weeks ago which was a massive shock. They've also said that the results may come back negative but that doesn't mean it's not genetic, it could mean that they just haven't found the particular gene that I may have. My boys and granddaughter will also need to be tested. xx

She’s beautiful! If they aren’t able to find answers with the whole exome sequencing I’d suggest you ask for whole genome sequencing (it’s more comprehensive and in some cases gives you answers if they can’t find anything with WES)
