I like to think that this is actually the Hero of Time grown back up into his teenage body in the Child Timeline. Called back from his adventures by Zelda to serve Hyrule and take up the Master Sword once again. While this is based more on A Link to the Past, the Master Sword is pulled from a pedestal in the forest. The Hero of Twilight also pulls the Master Sword from a pedestal in the forest. He also pulls it out as a teenager/young adult. That's my theory anyway.

but I feel like that’s always been the gag. He technically was not an adult. I always imagine him being 7 to 10 years old meaning a seven year time skip will put him at 18 at the oldest 😭 maybe it’s because I’m 30 but I still see teenagers youthful and childlike
