I think most of this is fair. However, your point on technically not making worse transfer and it just being harder to scout because that kinda makes it a worse transfer over a large sample size - high ceiling, low floor thing. A lot of them failed have nothing to do with the physical vs technical. Most of these if we’ll be honest, weren’t the best fits or grossly overestimated the ability of the player. Like how on earth did Barca buy Griezmann and Coutinho with Messi in the same team I don’t know

It’s flawed logic. He’s treating continuous, overlapping traits as rigid, separate boxes. Players can excel at certain traits that can go into both boxes. Deeming them as just “technical” or “physical” is a poor generalization

For me, I think physicality and technicality have to be balanced. If a player has all physicality with no technicality, he is just Adama Traore. And if he has all the technicality, he is just Ward-Prowse.

I’ve always thought Kdb was so physical and such a monster in transition, glad someone else saw it. Great technician but people tend to associate white people with technical ability and black people with more physical traits. I don’t necessarily believe it’s inherently wrong either because certain demographics share certain footballing traits and stereotypes which I think are influenced by culture. The issue is just when people act as if the stereotypes are the only reality.
