You don’t get tetanus from either. Tetanus lives in the soil. It’s almost impossible to get tetanus in the United States.

As a nurse, you do not need TDAP every time you get exposed, you get one every 5 to 10 years, usually 10 years if you’re not in healthcare. As long as you’re in the range of below 10 years, your risk is substantially decreased so no you do not need to get a TDap every time you’re exposed…
