To the people saying ‘’ almost like it’s their house’’ this is NOT NORMAL for Maine at all. Historically the water has been way too cold for them to be this close to shore…this many shark sightings in such a short period of time and so close to where people swim in Maine is quite abnormal. Not saying it’s never happened before, just that Maine residents and tourists aren’t used to it and should absolutely take more precaution.

i’m not a maine resident but i’ve gone for a week ever since i was 7 and im 13 now but every time i swim there i see jellyfish but a shark.. the water is way to cold for that sharks usually swim by the jersey shore or the south east coast

that doesn't mean it's dangerous, sharks don't attack humans cuz they want to they attack humans because they look like seals when they're on surfboards and also if you don't go out too far they won't think you're a seal

yes sharks live in the ocean, but in maine the water has been too cold to for them so it’s rare they’re spotted here, them being spotted more often is not usual so the fact that they are here in the water around maine cost isn’t normal, whether it’s their home or not
