i also think tipping culture is screwing over servers! that’s my main tipping priority, i will always tip my waiter/waitress, but i worry people are tired of tipping and then stop tipping the people who literally not getting paid any other way!

On top of the tipping, now we are getting hit with credit card processing fees everywhere!!!!! This small town restaurant that is always busy. Like always full, started a 4% card fee!

AND WHY IS THE STARTING TIP AT 25%?!?! I was at Dutch Bros and they swiveled it around and it said 25, 30, 35?!? No! I’m okay with 10%, MAYBE even 15% for a coffee shop, but 25%??? When the coffee is already $8? Nah

My waxer changed her prices with a note that said something along the lines that the price of the service covers the service itself and tip. It was one of the most freeing things for me as a customer to not have to figure out if I was tipping an appropriate amount or matching what others tipped. Now, I can just pay her set price and know I’m meeting her expectation. Anything extra I give I can tell her that it’s just me paying for her coffee 🥳

when i tip an owner operator, or someone who sets their own prices, i dont tip base on a percentage i just add a bit extra if im happy with the service

DDS!! (delivery, dine in, services like hair nails massage) otherwise i do not tip. if i place my own order online or a screen. NO TIP. if i have to walk up to order NO TIP. if the only interaction we have is you saying hi and what would you like, NO TIP. that’s the bare minimum of ur job

Guys I just want to let you know that SOMETIMES the worker you’re talking to doesn’t get the tip. My work does NOT give us the tip jar tips or the stupid iPad tip. We don’t get it

Servers in my state make the state minimum wage of $14/hr. I do not tip. I tip on DD (they are getting me something I want or need that I cannot get myself) and I tip my hairdresser. Yes, she is the owner, still tip her.
