i recommend learning the japanese alphabet which is called ‘hirigana’ there’s plenty of videos on youtube about it. if you learn how the hiragana characters sound, pronouncing words will be much easier! trying to pronounce japanese words with the english alphabet is really hard lol. if you wanna go the extra mile, there’s an app called teuida. it’s free and extremely helpful for learning basic words and sentences to help you get around japan :)

That's so exciting! I never noticed the lack of diet coke because I don't like any coke, but I do heavily miss root beer at times. lol If you want, the word "toilet" (to-i-re) is fine for asking for the bathroom and easy to remember! There are technically more polite ways of saying it, but in most cases that word is absolutely fine.
