That seems overly complicated. Cool. But complicated.

If anything, that is a great way to transition from decimal to binary thinking.

How on earth is that the simplest way they discovered to do this. Crazy. Thanks for sharing

They used base 2. As a programmer I’ve done this a few times

I do multiplication by finding the factors of each number and chunking them together, I love/hate primes because of this

What if the reason why no one knows the binary/Egyptian way of multiplying is because someone automated that intelligence into computers?

6×22=(6×11)2 6×22=(6×20)+(6×2) 6×22=(3×11)4 6×22=(3×11)3+33 6×22=(3×22)2

i mean neat, but i’ve always just done it where i break it down into 10s. 6x2 is 12, 6x20 is 120. add them together and you get your number

I multiply each digit when is any number against one digit number multiplication (on mind) and every number same way but multiple digits both sides (on paper) and keep tens in mind and adding it back up at the result of second digit multiplication, and then save tens again (for every onward digit ,the tens becomes units for them like for 119x3=357 because is 3x9=27 so 2 are tens, then 3x1=3+2=5 because the tens remaining ,but then we have the last digit 1 from hundreds so 1x3=3+0=3 because we have 0 hundreds from the tens)

as a child I didn't know what it meant to multiply. then I stumbled upon common corn. I knew thousands after that.

some gov't hack was given lots of money to come up with CC so they had to push it hard or agree they wasted their money! and it's more difficult to get rid of than get it in use.
