i’m tired of y’all confusing your personal convictions with biblical mandates and trying to slap the “truth” label when it’s really just your personal opinion

Jesus certainly isn’t “chic.” But He isn’t threatened by genz vocab either. The question scripture repeatedly emphasizes is whether Christ is actually being loved, proclaimed, obeyed, and glorified. and sometimes mature believers need to be particularly careful that in trying to protect reverence for Christ, we don’t create extra rules Jesus Himself never gave.

sister, you clearly have a love for God. I admire that. But has this led people closer to Jesus?

With love and respect, I’m not mad at your take regarding the trend. Everyone is entitled to their conviction. The messages, however, that you have no reverence or fear of the Lord and the alluding to being lukewarm if you partook in the trend can be hurtful and discouraging. The same Holy Spirit at work in you, is also at work in those who have professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It is not for us to do the discerning, but the Lord. In this case, I believe this has little to do with people not heeding to truth or being easily offended. The messages we speak and the delivery in which we speak them matter. With love.

“The Gospel is offensive enough.” Is a quote my pastor uses often. The church needs to learn to love boldly, calling people to higher WITHOUT getting on a high horse. It’s a fine line.

I mean this with nothing but love, I encourage you to pray to God to humble your heart so you aren’t exalting yourself over other believers. Remembering Luke 18 9-14. I know you feel like you’re defending Jesus but our father loves us like children and he will discipline us as only a father can. Imagine looking at your own children and one of them trying to parent the other. You can’t force people to be the Christian that you think they should be.

the problem is that the way you are approaching this matter is overly dogmatic and you’re giving a legalistic perspective on minor details, rather than an approach rooted in genuine spirituality. Using the word “chic” can be the way a teenage girl is evangelizing her friend and you’re judging the concept and tearing it down. You’d condemn someone for saying “Worshipping Jesus is lit” wouldn’t you? Focus on the bigger things in life. Lord forgive me if I’m wrong, but I really don’t think God is as bothered by this as you are.

I keep rewatching the video and I’m having trouble finding where you offended anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️I don’t understand the comments saying “humble yourself” and “is this leading people toward Jesus.” Nothing you said was controversial or offensive — completely on point. Every Christian today, deep down, knows this is true. We’re not unlocking our full purpose with Christ because we’re scared what the world will think. I suffer with this

It’s difficult to find the balance between truth and gentleness, but evangelism requires BOTH. Talking to unbelievers and leading with “you’re a sinner and you’re going to hell” is NOT it. The church needs to do better fr

i just finished your podcast about this and it's made me realise something - if someone convicts you and you get offended that comes from a place of pride - if you were truly fruitful you'd be more open-minded and fearful of God

Just know all these hateful comments are “Christian’s” who are in love with the world. God calls some of us to say the hard things. Not everyone is going to want to hear that.

Are we not supposed to uplift one another? She’s been very candid with her own past, and calls out judgement within the church community. Everyone wants the “chic” trend to be accepted, but refuses to have ears to hear her point and has taken leave when it comes to showing her the same grace everyone is in the comments yelling about. These comments aren’t giving sisters in Christ, it’s giving mean girls and it’s so sad to watch. This is how we represent our community to outsiders looking in?
