it 100000% matters. even when i just had to go do a deposition for a car accident my attorney told me how to dress, make sure my hair is pulled out of my face, no distracting jewelry, even suggested certain colors to wear!

People don’t seem to realise that men have standards as well to appear professional or trustworthy in court. I worked on many trials and sentences, never should see shoulders, deep chest, toes, thighs or knotty hair once you enter the doors regardless of if you’re a lawyer, juror, witness or defendant

Honestly, if this doctor judged Lindsay Clancy's mental health based on how she looks then I hope the jury dismissed her for her looks. Healthcare professionals need to stop judging people's physical and mental health based on their appearance. People with chronic conditions spend so much time trying to figure out how to dress sick enough to be believed, but well enough to not be considered drug seeking.

There are literal consultants on how to dress for court depending on the type of case, the demographics of the jury, and the location of the jury. 🤦🏻♀️Court is about presenting the best story not necessarily the best argument--people make snap judgements on looks every day and especially in a court room
