Why do some people see red as closer, while others see blue? This phenomenon is called chromostereopsis (color stereoscopy) — a quirk of how your eyes and brain work together. In simple terms, your eye acts a bit like a slightly misaligned lens. Red light (longer wavelengths) focuses a little farther back on the retina, while blue light (shorter wavelengths) focuses slightly closer. Your brain interprets this difference as depth, even though the image is flat. What makes it even more interesting: • The effect can be stronger depending on lighting, contrast, and background color. • Eye dominance, pupil size, and even fatigue can subtly change what you perceive. • This is why artists, designers, and optical illusion creators deliberately use red and blue to “push” or “pull” elements forward. So you’re not imagining things — you’re watching your brain construct reality in real time. Same image. Same colors. Different perception. Follow for more mind-opening tests, signs, and intuitive insights. I share daily reflections, psychology-based visuals, and gentle guidance to help you understand yourself better ✨ #intuition #mindtest #selfawareness
