@your_favorite_contractor: So I saw a video of these guys just cutting their asphalt roofing books like this and I thought it was a great idea. So I decided to see how easy you would actually be to cut the shingles with a circular saw and it actually cut through it really easily. And now I have perfectly straight cut shingles done in one shot. So for now on this is how I'm going to cut my shingles. What do you guys think of this? #HomeImprovement #roofing #construction #DIY

I started roofing when I was 14 my dad roofed his whole life and I came up with the same idea we used to call them starter packs. When I showed my dad how I came up with this cool idea, he looked at me and said I’ve been doing that since the 70s. Lol every time I came up with a cool idea my dad would say that to me. “I’ve been doing that since the 70s.” Lol I miss my old man. He roofed until he was 65 on a 69th birthday. He asked me and my brother if he could come work a day with us for his birthday he said he wanted to make it to 70 but he got cancer as soon as he turned 70 :( so he wasn’t able to make it we sprinkled some of his ashes on the last roof he worked on.

People complaining about a ruined blade, you can get an avanti 7 1/4” for like 8 bucks and then just charge that as material cost for the homeowner. This is definitely a smart idea. No loss of money and saving time

I've worked for a guy that dine this and there was so much waste. but if you like throwing away all tue extras you dont use or storing them until you use that color again go ahead.
