I have an almost one year old now and am lucky enough to have a fenced in yard. It was hard enough getting her out every TWENTY MINUTES which is where we were for a couple months. I lived in a high rise a few years ago and would have definitely done a pee pad.

Yes crate training is fine. It’s when people put their dogs in crates all the time for hours. My dogs are crate trained. I barely use them. But when I do it’s great.

Use a porch potty and stop the pee pass it can sometimes be harder when they’re older to know if they’re having uti symptoms or pain symptoms or are just missing the pads etc
