I am surprised you are are still using wire butt connectors. I have been using the solder shrink connectors and I really like them.

My old boss showed me that trick 20 years ago. It works really good and has made me look really good many times over. Being called "The man that can fix everything" lol. Still good find, sad that you make less for knowing more. Had it gone to a simple mechanic they would have slung 15 parts on it and made 5 times the money.

I believe those also have a common spot right around bell housing that likes to rub and take out that ignition circuit
