I get fresh salmon right out of the bay where I live in Alaska, it’s less than two hours old and has worms. Most fish do.

Hate to break it to yall but all meat has parasites. They go deep into muscle and some, but not all can be heat resistant or can withstand temperatures of around 500°

This salmon was left out for a long period of time before packaging and flys got to it. Flies will lay eggs on meats. Meats that have parasites eggs start to hatch.

yes I've seen those life wigling in Costco fresh fish and showed it to employees...since a few years ago I'm still hesitant to buy fish in Costco 😳

Wild caught always has worms that is why for sushi grade it is frozen long enough and cold enough to kill all parasites. Smoking if done proper should have killed all parasites.
