i work at a gas station and i asked a coworker if he could cover me due to me having a migraine, he agreed. that afternoon as he was closing, a couple came in, robbed him and the store. he was shot 18 times. i have so much regret for asking him to cover me.

Coworker worked their shift, went to the gym, I got sick during my shift and asked them if they could come back and cover me. He did. He was going home later that night in a snow/ice storm and lost control. He ended up in the woods and the jaws of life had to be used. He passed.

In 2022, on my birthday, I walked into work and 3 of my work besties gave me little gifts. I’m super sensitive and not used to getting gifts, and I got teary eyed and said ‘I promised myself this is the year I WONT cry on my birthday.’ One of them responded with ‘ don’t worry, I will find a way to make you cry today.’ Yeah he sure did, cause a couple hours later we found him dead 🤸♂️power of tongue is crazy

I worked with a kid at wingstop back in 2023 and i closed with him and said ill see you in 2 days cause he has school. And that day i went in i found out he had passed by getting hit by a train cause his car died on the tracks

Not a coworker but in HS I told a friend “be safe out there, I’ll see you next week” the following day he got shot point blank in his head in his own garage in front of his girlfriend and bestfriend.. worst part about it is they say the bullet wasn’t even meant for him- the killer thought he was someone else who was inside the home. He was only 16.

Both me and my co worker happen to be in the ER at the same time. We said that's crazy, hugged wish well for each other and I said "l'll see you at work" I came back to work 4 days later and found out he passed away the day after his ER visit. I didn't believe them at first, just pure shock.
