From a Silver Knolls Residence They are still not letting us pass the road block We need to get a news crew out here in silver knolls and have film our area and show who ever is charge that we are just as safe as cold springs. Maybe they will change the check point up higher. I know they want to keep the roads clear but we need to go on with our lives too. They can change the route to Osage rd. Let us go in and out that way!

I’m in Lemmon Valley, on the border of the evacuation zone. Today I talked to some firefighters here from Lake Tahoe. This morning they were sleeping in the park next to my house after fighting the Bug Fire all night. The winds are taking the fire northeast from my neighborhood, toward Pyramid Lake, but the firefighters confirmed what I already knew. Which is the wind is very erratic right now. If the wind changes direction it puts me and my neighbors at risk. I’m in my backyard watching the flames and orange sky as we speak. God bless all these amazing firefighters protecting our homes, animals, and businesses. Praying for your protection and safety.

The part people don’t realize is this is only a day old and bug/fred fires already combined and are approaching 50k acres, and the stallion is over 20k. Thats how fast and dangerous fires can erupt in dry areas with plenty of fuel and wind
