I recently started being transparent with my 4 year old boy when I’m overstimulated and don’t want to be touched. At first I felt bad because I want to be a safe space for him and then it clicked to me that his understanding of consent starts here. It shouldn’t ever be abnormal for him to hear that a woman doesn’t want to be touched.
