My son had tongue ties and lip ties that caused him to gulp air, which gave him severe silent reflux. We had them lasered at four months old and it completely changed our lives. Maybe have her mouth checked for ties

We had a similar experience with one of our twins who were born at 36 weeks. We used the Philips avent natural bottles and we switched their formula.

My preemie daughter had reflux. Talk to your pediatrician about Pepcid (Famotidine). Did wonders for her eating and temperament with eating. She turns 1 tomorrow. It could also be milk/formula. Ask pediatrician about testing for cow’s milk allergy in stool. Once we got her on Dr Browns Nipples (Premie/Transition Nipple/Level 1 + Pepcid + Kendamil formula) things got so much more predictable and easier — personally I’d ditch the Similac nipples you are describing. Bring her back to doc ask to be checked for reflux because they have meds or powder to put in the bottles to stop the stomach acid.

The same thing was going on with my baby at birth to stay. She struggles with the silent reflux and she’s one years old, but for her nothing weren’t she was eventually diagnosed with dysphasia on the risk of aspiration, which explained her reflex pretty much and crying while eating.
