I feel this way about Bangchan defending JYPE. Despite the lack of protection and the fact that he said he got physically abused as a child by teachers, he still goes out of his way to defend them. That's why you shouldn't treat idol's words as end all be all. They're warped to become complacent tools.

I think his time at SM scarred him. He was like 12/13 when he joined the company. He probably feels like his manager is a trusted friend who cares about him
