I guarantee you, over the 3 to 6 months following the breakup she's going to see there were major issues in every aspect of the relationship that she just thought were normal things because they were smaller and scattered in their different areas and not huge dramatic things the lock box brought out in that area. once she has time to decompress and connect dots she'll understand the bigger picture and connection. he always sucked, it was just litte by little and went unnoticed because she was use to it

4 years. it's crazy how long a guy can hide a terrible part of his personality before one day he finally snaps. the charade is over. I'm glad she at least saw it before they got 10 years down the line and marriage and he started physically harming to her.

DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. That’s abuse. And destroying shit (especially important/expensive/sentimental items) is a definite sign that YOU are the next thing they’ll start hitting.

Girl dodged a bullet. She definitely was ignoring small things he did and the lock box was just the catalyst that threw him over the edge and made her notice.

Im a binge eater due to childhood trauma. It’s REALLY hard for me to stop myself, so people put their names on their portions. I dont even have to be locked out, just the reminder that another person wants to enjoy it is enough to stop me almost every single time. He has to have SERIOUS issues to be repeatedly ignoring this, or genuinely doesnt care about her and is faking every apology. If I was worse at binging, and someone wanted to lock up the food, I’d be grateful because doing something like eating a full thing of cheese in 1h is insane and harmful omg??
