@whatsuptaz: Friend or Foe? đ€ One word: disaster. Sungboon Editor held their first standalone pop up this past weekend and it was not a great experience. Donât get me wrong, the space was beautifully decorated and everything was so cute and on theme. Freebies given were generous, great, and appreciated. But they do not have proper management, communication, or customer service skills. Even before the pop up began, they started making blunders like advertising that visitors would receive 18 full size products wsl only to change it to 6 out of 18 a few days before the first day of the pop up. While 6 items is still generous and a great deal, it was slightly less better than what they originally advertised. Still not the biggest issue, especially since it was still corrected before the pop up began so people werenât totally blindsided. Friday as we all heard and saw all over social media was a shit show. Lines were crazy, out of control, and all over the place. Cutting was at an all time high. Fights broke out and cops were called before finally getting shut down 2 hours after opening! While they did not honor RSVPs (we all knew they wouldnât in the first place), they started a QR code queue which wasnât managed well as it was leaked. They reopened later in the day but gave no notice to anyone on their page about opening or closing the pop up. They gave no updates at all. Saturday came around and they did physical wristbands which was slightly better but still poorly done as they took too long to hand them out and kept stopping, allowing people to cut. They even handed wristbands to people who came up to them when they shouldnât have gotten one. The lady said she was verifying if they really were on line but she really wasnât because people lied and they were cutting. They corrected this for Sunday and made sure to hand it out to only those who were present. However, most of the staff were quite rude on both days. When I reminded the lady of where she stopped handing bands as she left to get more and came back handing them to cutters, she said she has eyes and she can see in an attitude. If youâre handing out wristbands to whoever comes up to you, then clearly you donât. Another lady inside said it was your choice to stand on line when we were asking about compensation for Fridayâs fiasco. While that is true, she did not have to be rude. And quite frankly it was her choice to work in a customer service field and to be working at a pop up. Another one actually put their hands on me to move me to the side when she easily couldâve asked me to come closer. Seeing how rude they were, I totally believe that one video I saw about how a staff member pushed a girl down. When asking the BA about compensation for Friday, we were told they were thinking about it and might do a discount code situation, which I think is ridiculous. People who came on Friday wouldâve gotten free stuff and to compensate them, you want to give them a code so they can buy stuff (at a slightly cheaper price)? Thats not the same? They also ran out of stuff fairly quick. The yellow pouches that were supposed to be given out everyday were not given on Saturday and Sunday because apparently they gave them all out to influencers and the leftovers out on Friday. Which again, goes against their advertising. They didnât really do the lucky scoop event. Gave out two samples on Saturday and then had staff do it for you with their hands on Sunday. The space was small too. They were rushing people (understandable) inside so you couldnât even really learn or try the products. While the freebies I got were good, the experience and everything combined was so bad that Iâd rate this a 1/10. This whole thing completely changed my view of them and not in a good way. Their products are good but it doesnât matter how good you are if you canât treat people right. #sungbooneditor #popup #freebies #skincare #koreanskincare @SUNGBOON EDITOR
