Minor spoiler ahead. When jean ask him if he was peter or spiderman, I couldn’t help but look back at these moments with tony. Tony was the first person to know of his real identity and he always made sure to remind him that he is both peter and spiderman. The first clip when tony says that if anyone died, that’s on peter because he’s spiderman, and if he died that’s on tony because he sees him as a kid—tony sees peter parker. Tony never really separated Peter from spiderman. He held Peter accountable for being spiderman, but at the same time, he still saw the kid underneath the mask and felt responsible for protecting him.
