@aduddlebryan: Although this stories will be embarrassing to tell, suppressing things never works well in the end. I have learned that lesson the hard way time and time again. If anyone can relate on any level, whether it’s OCD, another mental health issue, or not even related to mental health then you know what I mean. Irrational thinking and compulsive behavior, when you know it is irrational is super rough. But as a kid, I had no idea what was going on, I just thought I was fat, and maybe I was. At the end of the day, I can look back now and maybe laugh a little about it, but certainly in the moment going through these things it sucks and it’s embarrassing and oftentimes feelings of shame are attached to these compulsions or thoughts. Sharing them for some reason just takes some of that negative emotion surrounding them off. #ocd #MentalHealthAwareness #fyp #embarrassing #compulsions

I had the same sorta thing. Haven’t seen much about it. At one point I was 6ft tall at 16 and only weighed 140lbs I was in pretty good shape because I worked out all the time but I looked horribly underweight

You might already know this, but eating disorders and body image issue are extremely tied to OCD. Obsessing over body image is very common with OCD. Counting calories and watching weight is also obsessive and compulsive. Don’t be ashamed of the symptoms of your disorder 😊
