Since when was a 3.0 bad??? If you have a killer resume you’ll be fine

I got into one of UConn's more competitive programs w a 2.5 GPA bc the rest of my application was insane and I had a rlly good story, don't let anyone tell you your chances are slim

A 3.0 doesn’t rule out good options! What state are you in, what might you want to study, and what’s your budget? Those details will help narrow down schools that actually fit you 🫶

Girl honestly just apply to random unis you think would be nice (if the gpa is circumstantial like mine many colleges INCLUDING IVYS understand and give you an opportunity to talk about a dip in your grades) and see what sticks. Make sure your writing is unique to you and honestly you’ll have a chance at somewhere great. I know people who’ve gotten into t20s without outstanding stats too so don’t be afraid to aim higher than you think you can. Of course have safeties like if you’re around Philly like me I’m applying to temple because I know they took a friend with a 2.9. Drexel also is awesome and has great job opportunities. IU Bloomington I’m also applying to and you should look into it as well because they’re a phenomenal school with around a 80% acceptance rate expect certain majors. Also I’m applying for the majors with higher acceptance rates at schools with generally lower acceptance rates. Hope we can relate to each other girly

I’d love to recommend some! But first of all, what are you looking for? Location? Intended major? And have you taken the SAT?

any college with pretty much over 50%-60%. Look into schools that never require test scores. Those are usually the safest. I have a lot of extracurricular, but I’m not so high GPA and I got into a lot of okay/good schools.

3.0 isn’t even bad, with a good resume/application you’ll be provided with a lot of opportunities. ED is always an option though.

I’d apply to some of the easier UCs(UC riverside, UC merced, UC santa cruz, etc) they require a 3.0 to apply so u just made the cutoff but I think you could have a good chance at some of them!

Honestly any state university that’s not a top 50 you could probably get into try to get a good SAT score and even if you don’t, you’ll definitely get into some college there’s a lot of people with worse

I promise you, this isn’t bad. 😭 Even worst case scenario, if you want you could go to community for 2 years, and then transfer to a good state school.

if you’d like, community college could help you boost your gpa up. if you do really well you could transfer to a good university and work from there!
