I completely agree. I find it puzzling why we bypassed designing SaaS applications that address end-to-end problems and directly jumped to AI. If Outlook and Gmail had been designed with better user-friendly workflows from the outset, I don’t believe we would have needed an agent. It seems like agents are now being treated as a temporary solution for poorly designed software.

The SV mindset that everyone will want AI agents reminds me of Soylent, the meal replacement: A Silicon Valley bro who thought eating food took too much time away from his coding "optimized" eating by inventing... a meal replacement protein shake and selling it as something magical. Meanwhile, meal replacement protein shakes were already a well-established product category, and most people enjoy eating food and don't see it as a major blocker for doing work.

I also think ppl don’t want to spend the time to figure out how to make an agent. We are already so busy we don’t have time to go out of our way to make our lives easier. But this start up sounds really interesting!
