I had a coworker attempt to pull up 3MLS OF INSULIN to give to a pt. My new grad ass asked what she was doing when I saw she had a 3ml syringe and trying to pull insulin from the Pyxis. She said giving insulin to a pt. I said how many units. She said 3ml. I looked at her like WTF??? She got very defensive and said they’re very hyperglycemic. I read the screen of the Pyxis and said “I don’t think so, the dose says 10 units. You’re reading the concentration of the vial as the dose.” Mind that would have been 300 units. She huffs at me, looks at the screen and back at me, back at the screen and grabs the insulin syringe to give the 10 units. Never had my flabbers so ghasted in my LIFE.

I find it so funny that America made a giant fuss about the Covid booster shots but you all go get flu shots every year, unlike any other developed country. The flu is literally a bad case of the common cold for most people, and y’all line up for pointless jabs

A parent made all teachers at the high school I taught at be trained at giving an Epi pen for her two children. The nurse training us passed out a real one instead of the demo for us to practice with and a 65 year old man injected himself with epinephrine and she was like, “my bad y’all.”

This doesn’t even make sense because how would she have that much insulin to just give to everyone by accident ? As a mom of a diabetic child, it just logistically doesn’t make sense.
