i used to work at toyota of puyallup and they are a “private owned dealership” whatever that means, just go somewhere else tbh, whenever i had to fix my car they wouldn’t listen to my issues, and i had to have someone i know that works higher up, make them listen to me.

I have a friend who is a Master mechanic and certified for Toyota and he charges about $107 and he guarantees his work and somebody's kid as you he'd probably be cheaper but he's a nice guy he's an honest guy he's a native American and he's right over on the hill right above flaming geyser Park I don't know his phone number right off hand but if you PM me I'll give you his phone number

If it was ignition coils i just replaced mine with one tool and 30 minutes for 8 of them! Bought the coils for $130. So they definitely shouldnt charge you for their mistake in the end. They should guarantee the work

Dealerships are not your friend, they will up charge you and tell you need something done when you don’t need it or give you the run around. My ex wife took her car in literally after I told her not to that I will take a look and fix what’s needed. Let’s just say she didn’t want to listen and spent a lot of money on things she didn’t need it. The Chevy dealership in puyallup tried doing some shady stuff to me when I tried to get the recall for my airbag done saying I need all this extra stuff done when I am literally a mechanic and have been since I was 16 tell now 40. lol they hated me cause I have no filter and told them do I look stupid to you. Dealerships are a scam

Gonna just +1 on Greg’s. The one off of 128th has technicians that used to work at Toyota of Puyallup and offers competitive rates for a higher standard of work. given that Toyota of Puyallup servicing botched a basic fluid flush that then suddenly led to a series of errors and then a full water pump replacement out of nowhere, something to say for the quality of service there when your vehicle is more than 5 years old versus ToP.

Always go with your gut if it don’t feel right, it’s not right they are scamming you. They need to fix your car and make it right and there should be no extra costs after you’ve already had them work on it so they’re messing with you. Go back tell him to fix your car. You drove it and drive it out. It should work.

I live in Puyallup we have a great family mechanic in the canyon road area. If you are under a warranty I can guarantee they are keeping you going back until it eventually voids the warranty or until it expires. My friend pre ordered a truck from a place in sumner very expensive raptor & after over a year of the same type of bs they are winning a lawsuit against them.

Take it to momentum Motorworx at pacific raceways. They are the greatest Toyota techs in the PNW. Toyota of Tacoma MESSED MY CAR UP. TRIED TO LIE. AND THEN I HAD TO BE A TOTAL KAREN TO MAKE THEM FIX IT. Puyallup is the same garbo management.

Sorry this happened to you! They damaged my new car and had to have the rear end repainted while it was in service! Then didn’t follow through on compensation! even knowing the owner of the dealership didn’t help my situation either. I would not recommend them!

Dealerships get all the reject mechanics, they don’t know what they are doing, they will up charge you so they can hit their numbers, go to a local shop.
