This is real ocd, it’s happened to me so many times because my biggest fear are diseases, so everywhere I go I have to make sure there’s no needles anywhere sometimes I record myself walking in public to be sure because in my head needles all have diseases 😭

There is hope … I once threw away an entire bag of apples because one of them had a tiny hole in it and I thought someone injected all the apples at the grocery store with an infected needle. I had promised to make an apple pie for Thanksgiving and needless to say I did not. I suffered like this for a few years and it was hell. Luckily Zoloft and therapy helped 🙏🏼❤️.

this happened to me the other day lol i was getting my hair done n the lady washing my hair was speaking n like the tiniest drop of saliva fell on my eyeball n i kept thinking i was going to get herpes in my eye

My longest ocd theme lasted for over a decade. It wasn’t until I saw someone from my past who has HIV and they came in for a hug and I knew that rejecting it would not only be incredibly hurtful but would make me feel so much guilt so I gave her a hug and I feel like that helped me kind of overcome that theme

Im the same way! When I go to the Dr and get routine labs I always freak out and have to ask if the needles are new lol even though they are opening every thing in front of me.
