@edenfromseoul: #creatorsearchinsights #koreareality To Korean Americans who make videos criticizing Korea while spreading misinformation: Maybe your content gets a lot of views from it and maybe you faced discrimination for being Asian when you were younger, so now you’re excited to see your videos getting more recognition and attention. I want to embrace that. But honestly, every time you guys confidently spread some completely madeup tiktokfied version of Korea or some inaccurate Korean, it’s weird af
they’re always calling Korea a dystopia when the actual stats show their own country is doing way worse😂

omg so true and they keep putting koreans and korean culture down by over-exaggerating things... as if any other nations culture don't have their own problems too..

Because it brings views. If they talk about negative things in Korea with exaggeration, people hit up likes and shares.

동감.한국이민자들은 20~30년전 한국의 모습에서 멈춰있는데 그걸본 2세나 3세들이 그걸 현재 한국이라고 생각하더라구요 한국인입장에서 당황스러운 영상들이 한두개가 아님 😳

I'm not Korean but I've always loved kpop and kdrama and always wondered why Koreans don't defend themselves against the things others say about their country and people because some of them are wild i did some research and found out that it's because Koreans tend to avoid internet problems and maintain their peace but I'm glad some of them are fighting back because it gets to a point

I never understood the notion of Korean food being sweet and that Korean foods are better in the US. As a mainland Korean living in LA, I disagree so much

yeah no fr one time someone said that like Korean people force girls in the age of 17-19 to have plastic surgery, so I of course was like "Hey so that's the wildest misunderstanding I've ever heard" and they told me I couldn't know it, I was just someone obsessed with kpop(I don't even listen to Kpop much I have no idea why they thought so) and then blocked me. Not to mention people saying Korean women are jealous of white people... Honey, when Korean people says white they mean clear skin, because there are more than one words that means white and has subtle implications in Korean

It's counter culture, korea became very popular very quick and after a while people want to hate it because it got popular. Same thing with Japan, became super popular and now westerners are like "aren't these countries EXTREMELY RACIST???" like so is Europe too babes

There's been so many times where I've "corrected" Korean-Americans who have been to the country like twice and barely speak the language, for stating wrong or dated information. Often people will be like "he/she's Korean, I think they know better than you". While I'm the one who has been living in Korea for over a decade, married in to a Korean family and only surrounded by Korean-Korean culture 24/7, and actually speak Korean.
I by no means think I'm Korean 😅 They have a right to be proud to be Korean, but fact is, often time they are wrong in their statements.
