@rhia5596: Everyone had warned Yoonchae about Sophia. They warned her about the rumors, the people Sophia had hurt, and the trail of fear that seemed to follow wherever she went. But that evening, Yoonchae finally saw just how serious those warnings were. She found Sophia standing alone in a deserted alley. There were several people lying unconscious on the ground around her. A dark red stain marked Sophia's cheek, and a few drops had splattered across the sleeve of her jacket. Yoonchae froze. “Sophia…” Sophia slowly turned around. She looked completely calm. She wiped the stain from her cheek with the back of her hand and glanced at it. “Oh.” That was all she said. Yoonchae stared at her. “You're bleeding.” “Not mine.” Sophia said it so casually that Yoonchae almost shivered. “Are you okay?” Sophia shrugged. “I'm fine.” Yoonchae looked around nervously. “You did this?” Sophia didn't answer immediately. Instead, she walked toward Yoonchae, stopping only a few steps away. “They shouldn't have followed me.” Her voice was cold. “They made their choice.” Yoonchae swallowed. “And you don't feel bad?” Sophia's expression barely changed. “No.” The answer was immediate. No guilt. No regret. Nothing. Yoonchae should have walked away. Instead, she reached up and carefully wiped the remaining red stain from Sophia's cheek. Sophia looked surprised. “You're not scared?” “I probably should be.” “Then why aren't you leaving?” Yoonchae looked directly into her eyes. “Because you're still Sophia.” Sophia stared at her for a moment before quietly sighing. “You really are strange.” Yoonchae gave her a nervous smile. “And you're terrifying.” “I know.” Sophia took Yoonchae's hand. “But you're safe with me.” Yoonchae squeezed her hand. “That doesn't make what happened okay.” “I know.” For once, Sophia didn't argue. She simply looked at Yoonchae. “I never said I was a good person.” Yoonchae nodded. “I know.” “And you still stayed.” Yoonchae gave her a small smile. “Yeah.” Sophia looked away, pretending she didn't care. But she didn't let go of Yoonchae's hand. but all can Yoonchae think is Sophia was hers anyway. #rhia_aus
