I started dating when I was separated. My now ex initiated the divorce and moved out of state and honestly was already dating even when we were still together. I hadn’t dated very many different people at that point and naively thought that men who said they were separated were in a similar position - marriage over for all intents and purposes for a long time and just waiting out the legalities. Welp, I learned my lesson about that quickly as most of those men were only separated in their own minds and their wives were unaware! Don’t worry, I wised up quickly.

When my ex husband and I decided to get a divorce he moved his brother into the separate room the next day. A brother who had mental illnesses and whom I didn’t get along with.When I asked where I was going to stay, he said we could still sleep in the same bed because even separated people sleep together. I told him I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the same bed as the man I was divorcing or staying in the same house as his brother who was schizophrenic and he said that if I didn’t like it I could leave…. I bought the house he was forcing me to get out of.

Women have been groomed into these “duties” for centuries. These manipulative tactics are made up, these coercion methods, force & pressure a person to change their beliefs, ideas, or habits through repeated messages, isolation, or control, making them accept a new way of thinking and that it’s “A WOMANS DUTY”. This NONSENCE is made up! We have to deprogram, retrain our brains and break this cycle once and for all! Everything were told is made up!!!

Let’s be honest, any woman in her right mind knows exactly how it works. A man who claims he’s separated simply isn’t. A truly separated man doesn't live under the same roof as his soon-to-be ex-wife, nor does he drop by her place to do his laundry etc..
