Based on the available locations and rough mapping, the tow route may have passed within roughly 600 feet (about 0.1 mile) of the recovery area. The exact closest point and timestamp would require the Triton’s complete GPS track. We also don’t have Bart’s full GPS track, even though the Triton has GPS information that gives us something we can follow. That’s where the Sea Tow call becomes important: it independently establishes that the Triton was being towed. So even without Bart’s complete GPS, we can use the Triton’s recorded movement together with the Sea Tow timeline to examine the route and ask whether the tow brought the boat into the vicinity of the recovery area. That doesn’t prove anything by itself. It simply gives us a specific, geographically testable lead rather than assuming what happened.
