This has me in tears. 🥺 My husband is making this same sacrifices working offshore, and today was one of those really difficult days for me a day filled with tears. I said, “I never signed up for this.” 😭🥺🥺🥺😭 He is missing out on so much moments with the kids, family time, birthdays he hasn’t been home for any of our birthdays since he started working offshore, everyday little things that we often take for granted. And people only see the beauty of this lifestyle, but they don’t see the sacrifices, the tears, the lonely nights, the missed moments and the strength it takes to keep going. But we do it for a reason. We do it for our family, for our children and for the generations we are raising. ❤️It’s not always easy, and sometimes we’re allowed to admit that it hurts😭😭🥺🥺. But we keep going, we keep supporting each other, and we keep trusting that every sacrifice will be worth it one day. Strongs to you as well, brother. 🙏❤️You are not alone in this journey.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Just started a new passport again. Yes it has its perks to. Show my passports to my partner ever stamp is just lost time will loved ones we cannot get back. Stay strong I know what it feels like staring at that ceiling.🙏

My late father was Bosun. I literally grew up without my dad. I didn't understand then, why my daddy wasn't home when I saw other daddies home every evening. As an adult, I miss my dad but I appreciate more than i can ever say, hw hard he worked away from home. Those hard working hands gave me everything I am and have today. When I held his hand as he took his last breath, I was grateful for his hard work. May ur hands and sacrifice be blessed, and may ur kids knw their father is doing the best for them. Ur sacrifice (love) in physical form will be understood one day. Keep strong. May calm seas face u and may God keep u and crew safe🙏

I grew up with my entire family sea farers my dad a captain , my brothers officers bosun , uncles , grandpa . So i understand cause it hard for us at home not having Father to celebrate our success from matriculating to our graduation and there are months that its 9 months . So yes we were blessed with food on the table but its difficult . Strongs brother . Its all in God’s plan things could be so different.

Been a grass widow all my life & needed to be mom & dad to my kids. These days I look at my son, also a sailor but there's no other job that interests him. Guess it's more than a job, it's clearly the love for the ocean. My dad, father in-law, brother & husband were all sailors. Respect to those who make the sacrifices. It's definitely not easy.

This made me so emotional...my daughter works abroad....and I miss her everyday, the phonecalls never makes up for the hugs, or quick chat, or where i would run into her room just to talk or wake her up...I see all her sacrifice and cry many days...I pray for her safety, as I would always pray for her before she would leave the house....now I go into her room and prayer in her room...may tou all be blessed for the sacrifice you are all making...to better our lives ❤️

brothers and sisters this will never get easy and the saddest part you will never see a moment that was lost while you were abroad. time moves on it does not wait for us. kids gets older . I finished of last year because we can never replace time that was lost, strongs to you brother

I know this feeling 😭😭 my husband works away in the Middle East and he has missed so much. Many days I cry because I hate every moment of being without him, missing out on our kids growing up 😢.
