Malaysia advantage is multi race & culture. Some designers did very well on this take. It's so interesting to see more of clothing that blends 2 or maybe 3 cultures together, it really shows our Malaysian 'rojak' identity. just my two cents.

msian fashion scene, for lack of better word, slow to evolve. understandably our market is very modest and "restricted". any risky style/trend/fashion would probably be met with backlash. thats why there is no much variation from one designer to another. imo

KLFW is the platform for local designers to show their brand. Singaporean come to Malaysia to buy our product. We are not on par with Bangkok yet but we will reach there.

Fun fact from someone in the fashion industry. Malaysia is still The global blueprint and trendsetter for modest fashion. Brands literally use the Malaysian market to test products and run market research.

For me, KLFW still just a baby. Mostly tempat untuk: 1) locals artist-datins survey baju, dan 2) tempat locals designers untuk dapatkan inspirations. “Prestige” & influences kpd global markets tu belum sampai lagi.
