@civil_eng_technology: Architect — Responsible for architectural design, specifications, and details. If a crack results from an architectural design/detailing error, the architect may be responsible. Structural Engineer — Responsible for structural design and calculations. If the crack is caused by structural design failure, responsibility may fall on the structural engineer. Contractor — Responsible for construction workmanship and following approved drawings/specifications. Poor workmanship or wrong materials can cause cracking. Owner — Can be responsible if they make unauthorized alterations, overload the building, or fail to maintain it properly.

any of them can be the problem apart from the architect...but it's always the structural engineer who takes quality control following the specifications during execution of works
