The other day in the gym I was thinking why do I warm up before a workout, but not before I study? So, I started doing just that. With the gym, you don't want to go straight into a workout with cold muscles. And I've figured that much is the same for studying: is it helpful to go into a study session without your brain warmed up and ready to go?! So now, before I sit down for a study session I'll write out something in Japanese: at the moment, I'm writing out the hiragana and katakana characters. It's not much, but it just helps to fire my brain up and prepare it to input a different language and to get myself into Japanese mode - so to speak! I'll also read each character out loud. Something I'm also going to add is writing out and speaking aloud small sentences. Again, just to help get everything fired up and ready. Other suggestions could be listening to something I'm Japanese, or watching something. Either way, just anything to help you get into Japanese language mode I think is going to help and beneficial. Do you do something similar or have other ways to prepare for studying? Feel free to I share them so others can take inspiration from your suggestions! ☺️ And sorry for the dodgy filming! I'm still getting used to making reels! ☺️ #learning #japanesebeginner #japanesehelp #japan_ #japaneseculture #japanculture #japanlife #japaneselearning #englishlearningjapanese #japanmandan #studying #learningadvice #japaneseadvice #japanesehelp #studyjapanese #hiragana #japanuk #minnanonihongo #hiraganapractice #japanesebeginner #kanji #japanesepractice #studygoals #japanesestudygram #studygram #japanesereading #imlearningjapanese #studyfriends
