are you talking about like when the military abuses it's own troops to get them to conform? conditioning troops to not ask questions for instance. I've been out over twenty years and it drives my wife crazy when I don't ask "why."
for example I have a virtual appointment that's a physical appointment. I have to go to the VA for an appointment but the person I have the appointment with isn't going to be there. I was on the phone with my vet center counselor when a scheduler called from one of the VA clinics and when he discovered that my provider no longer work there he said he'd call me back. when he called me back he said that I was going to have a virtual appointment but that my virtual appointment was going to be from the VA clinic. when I told the counselor she would say basically what my wife would say why would they have you go to somewhere to talk to someone on the internet when you can talk to someone on the internet from home. I said I don't know and I didn't ask. I'm sorry is what I tell my wife when she gets mad at me because I don't ask why. I was conditioned to not ask why which doesn't mean that I never ask why but I was conditioned to not ask why.
