Hey dude, i have heds and my results are very very similar to yours! I’m 11 months post op and i was really worried that the scars would never fade but it takes time!! It will eventually fade, and doing scar massages regularly (they can be a bit tender sometimes) and using scar gel/bio oil<3 i’m unable to afford a revision, i’m just so happy that they’re not there anymore (they were 4 fkn kilos 😫)

this is EXACTLY what I need to see more of. I'm trans masc and most likely have heds. I barely see any rep for stuff like this! I don't know how my body with react to scarring, but the small scars I do have currently are all white and didn't stretch at all.

i have heds… all of my stretch marks and scars get super stretched out and thick. but i kinda like that look of thicker top surgery scars tbh

All tops surgery scars tell a story, I think asymmetry is pushed ti be seen as undesirable but like my own scars, they brushstrokes in a canvas. We don’t get to choose the canvas or even the surgeon sometimes but we are all beautiful.

hEDS is really tough on scar healing. my partner's top surgery scars are pretty thick too, but they used that oil stuff you can get and it makes them much paler. don't worry dude, you look really good to me. 💜

I'm so scared how mine will turn out. one doc told me having elastic tissue can help making really thin scars on the other hand they could just become large due to eds and healing qwq

this just made me realize i’ve never seen a trans guy post op that has stretch marks from when their breasts grew, i’m worried what i’ll look like post op, since my stretch marks are pretty wide and all the way around 😭

Happens to me any surgery I get . My port ended up needed a surgery to be fixed so they fixed my first scar bc the surgeon saw it and was appalled at how it healed

I have had similar scarring issues, but the excess skin is something surgical, laser and bio oil are good things for those scars

I'm over 3 years post op, and even though I have some really wide points on my scarring (had some wound dehesion at 5 weeks) they're not super visible now they've faded in colour

I keep explaining to everyone around me that I’m so worried with my eds and healing top surgery and everyone keeps saying no it’s fine but I keep saying no I need them to make sure they don’t leave my dog ears bc my body scars bad anyway and I have mega side boob and because every eds patient I have seen ends up with massive dog ears or keloids

If you get a good surgeon that understands heds it helps so much mine knew ways to make scars stretch less. Post op binder extra long time but it was worth it
