@megs.movement: Like what actually worked for you??? Feel like I’m not seeing ANY progress and I look the same after WEEKS UGH #fitnessjourney ##fitnessadvice #gymmotivation #weightlossadvice #fitnesstips
Good daily vitamins and hitting my protein goals. Engines run smoother when they’re fueled.

Cut out as much refined sugar as possible. Lost almost 35 pounds doing this. I’m diabetic, in menopause and have PCOS. Has always been hard for me to drop weight but this has helped so much.

Sounds crazy but 11 minute miles. Zone 2 cardio on top of a healthy diet and weightlifting a few times a week is THE hack. Doesn’t stress out your body and gets the job done.

I added a weighted vest to my morning walks and it helped me out of a plateau!

Lowering my calories. That’s it. I’ve lost nearly 200lbs at this point. Whenever I hit plateau, I adjusted the calorie deficit. You must consume less calories than it takes to maintain your current weight OR increase your exercise enough to counteract the calories you’re consuming (which is far worse than just eating less calories).

Tracking every single thing, including oil, butter, etc. that stuff adds up SO fast. And increasing from 10k steps to 12-15.

Personal trainer here, also did body building, and minor in nutrition. Weigh your food- it’s very eye opening but start off with just your protein if it’s overwhelming. Add 10-15 min of zone 2 cardio, stair master gets the most bang for your buck but whatever modality works for you.

What about when you don't eat a crap ton of calories?? I eat proteins and veggies...no gluten, no sweets, etc. Why am I at a plateau? I thought diet was more important than exercising, but it is seeming like I just don't work out enough to lose weight anymore 😒😭

Stella☦︎ | Fitness + Nursing :
If you’re in a plateau that means your body adapted to your caloric intake! So either a) eat less 2) burn more (increase step count) or do a little of both. Or if you already lost a lot of weight this maybe be your body telling you it’s time to reverse!

Horrors persist, but so do I :
Track your calories to see what you actually eat in a week… we often underestimate our weekend free for all… and get an Apple Watch or similar so you can see what your real resting calories are so you can calculate your needs

if you've been in a calorie decrease sometimes you need to jump start your metabolism by doing a surplus again

I tried losing weight my whole life and the only thing that worked was a glp1. I’m a real person not a bot. I view food and cravings differently now after taking this medication. Some of it was really never my fault and that has helped my mental health to understand
