Had alopecia since I was 12, I am now 25 and have done everything under the sun. Am also now 23 weeks pregnant and have lost nearly 80% of my hair and it’s been a huge emotional battle since I’ve never seen myself without hair like this. This video really helped thank you ❤️

I know there’s people out there who say “it’s just hair I’d shave it any day” but no matter what you literally don’t know how it actually feels knowing that you can’t grow it back it’s out of your control your hair is definitely a massive part of you an when u lose it it does feel like you’ve lost a part of yourself 😢 iv had alopecia since I was 10 that’s now 17 years and I can honestly say it didn’t get easier as such it suckes but you just learn to live with it iv worn wigs off an on since then but id give my right arm to be able to grow it back ❤️

Yes!!! It’s such a hard thing to navigate. Once I started wearing my topper when I needed to a few years ago I realized how much of the worry and fear is based on what other people think. Once I realized most people don’t care or notice, it changed everything for me. I don’t wear hair at the moment cause my spots have slowed, I still struggle with the identity piece when it flairs up and have to remind myself that its not the only thing that makes me ME!

Thank you for this conversation!! I’ve been a hairstylist for 19 years so hair has been my entire life but I started losing my hair due to alopecia and it’s been the biggest internal struggle to lose part of my identity!

I don't normally comment on TikTok but just wanted to say thank you. I over your videos and honesty. I have alopecia areata following treatment for leukaemia. I hoped after treatment it would resolve but it hasn't. I worry every day what people think of me and my confidence is rock bottom. I am not great at knowing what to do with wigs but I'm learning. I often wonder how it will be when I'm older. Whether I'll just embrace it or still wear wigs 🤷🏼♀️

I agree with this so much, you deffo lose so much of your identity!! People would always comment on how long and thick mine was and always ask if I’d extensions in….then loosing half the hair I lost part of me. I wish I had your content back then cause no one I knew could relate or understand

I have recently been diagnosed with FFA, I really struggle on days with the thought of it and how this is my new forever. But I watch your videos and it makes me feel so much better about the whole situation as I know there is alternatives. I love how you own it and you are so confident about it all.
