Idk I’ve never been to a jeweler or ad that won’t swap the battery on a quartz watch for free. They’ve even gone out of their way to not make money off me. When I was like 19 my watch died and I went into a local jeweler and asked if I could by some caseback opening tools, they asked why and told me I could still buy them but they could change the battery for free (I did have to pay $ 2.29 for the battery, I remember exactly because it was such a random 29¢)
