Replying to @D-18 Human This is satire. Satire to prove a point for educational purposes. A man told me that women are—and still should be—the property of men because “God knows what’s best.” So I decided to use the exact same kind of cherry-picked biology, theology, tradition, and statistics to “prove” the opposite: that men obviously belong to women. My satirical case for matriarchal ownership: 1. Women create men. Every man who has ever lived was grown inside a woman. The creator doesn’t submit to its creation. 2. We branded you. Typical XY men inherit their X chromosome from their mother, along with their mitochondrial DNA—the cellular “power system.” 3. Male development requires additional biological signaling. So, for satire purposes: women are the original edition; men are the modification. 4. Men are generally physically stronger. Clearly Goddess built them for manual labor while women handle management. 5. Women create life. Obviously the people creating civilization should be running it. 6. Women live longer. Goddess keeps management around longer than the employees. 7. Men commit the overwhelming majority of serious violence. By this absurd hierarchy logic, the barbarians need to be ruled—not put in charge. 8. The Grandmother Hypothesis proposes that post-reproductive women may have helped descendants survive. Goddess said, “Keep Grandma. Somebody needs wisdom.” 9. Parthenogenesis exists. Some female animals can reproduce without males. Nature is apparently already testing the upgrade. 10. Women never needed to write a holy book declaring men belonged to us. But patriarchal men repeatedly claimed God gave them authority over women. How convenient. Do I actually believe women own men? Of course not. That would be ridiculous. And that is exactly the point. I can cherry-pick genetics, evolution, reproductive biology, crime statistics, strength, longevity, and theology and manufacture an entire ideology explaining why women should rule men. It still wouldn’t make it true. Women are not the property of men. Men are not the property of women. Human beings are not property. And if your argument for dominating another adult is, “God says I’m supposed to be in charge of you,” you haven’t proven divine order. You’ve just given human domination a divine-sounding excuse.
