@moneystocker: Losing investing motivation? I’ve been there! When you first start investing, it can feel like not much is happening. Even when the market is doing well, the number in your account doesn’t seem to be going up fast enough! But compound growth, where your investment returns start generating returns of their own, takes time. Eventually, the amount of money you’re adding each year can become dwarfed by the investment returns. To be clear, there are years I’ve lost money too. I’ve had to take money out for a house deposit and pause investing at times. And of course, there are years when the stock market has done badly and my investments have gone down. But I kept adding money during those times. That’s key for pound-cost averaging to work! Some say the magic number is £100K. If the market grows by 10%, that’s £10,000 of growth without you having to add another penny. If you’re looking for a target, that’s a good one! The key is to think long-term and stay consistent for decades. You can do it! #myjourney #savingmoney #moneytips #money#PersonalFinance
